The Brat Pack
Yes, another adoring fan of the Brat Pack and their movies. I feel more a part of them than I do to with any group in my high school at times. Not to mention the fact that I'd give just about anything to be Molly Ringwald... or anywhere near Emilio, for that matter! Ooooh yeah...
The Breakfast Club
Brian: Saturday...March 24, 1984. Shermer High School, Shermer, Illinois. 60062. Dear Mr. Vernon...we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was that we did wrong, what we did was wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write this essay telling you who we think we are, what do you care? You see us as you want to see us...in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. You see us as a brain, an athelete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Correct? That's the way we saw each other at seven o'clock this morning. We were brainwashed...

And so begins one of the BEST character movies ever made. But the movie goes beyond just five(seven, really) characters. It truly shows sterotypical views, emotions, the discusting and beautiful aspects of human nature... and all in the course of an 8 hour stay of 5 high school kids given Staurday school.

St Elmo's Fire
"Well, it's not just infatuation, Kevin; she's not just 'a girl'. She's the only evidence of God I can find on this entire planet with the exception of the mystical force that removes one of my socks from the dryer every time I do the laundry" Don't you wish all men could say it as wonderfully as Emilio?

The story of friends just out of college. They are all different but all tired together through a friendship that seems so unbreakable you just can't help but fall in love with it. But each person is different to the extreme and tensions rise to their highest levels in love, sex, drugs, jobs, and life. But like all fires, the extremes simmer down to reveal the reality that their friendship will last forever.

The Princess Bride
from Amy's Midis

This is the movie that everyone must see or DIE! Seriously. It's the only movie I've ever memorized word-for-word entirely and probably the only one I ever will. I've seen it more than any other and love every aspect of it. The Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, true love, miricles... you don't want to get me started!

It's a wonderful tale of Storybook Love(the title song!) with every comedical, adventurous and romantic aspect anyone could want included for good measure.

The Goonies
Just your typical kid-adventure movie told in true eighties-style. With classic elements of the great quest and(you knew I had to say it) with the best characters! Truly evil vilans, really sweet, friendship-dependant kids(who call themselves the Goonies), and a few moments of romance balanced with a few of terror with a side order of comedy.
Of course, the fact that I used to love little Cody Feldman didn't hurt either! He was such a cute little kid... Especially in Stand By Me!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Of course I love RHPS, how is it possible not to if you're
under 40 and have any sense of fun at all in you?
